Draft Minutes of the July Meeting

The minutes of the July Meeting of the Association may be viewed and downloaded from the 'MEETINGS' page. It should be understood that these are at present DRAFT Minutes and will be presented to the 4th August Meeting for ratification.

  1. The term "mountain biker" used in these minutes is incorrect.

    How does the LRA define a mountain biker ?

    These are simply people with bikes.

    Just because they look young doesn't make them a mountain biker.

  2. I agree. I have suggested that the sentence concerned be amended to: "There is still hope that people riding bikes, who trespass daily, will be kept off the narrow section of the path that is to be shared by frail, elderly people, children, pedestrians with dogs on leads, and wheelchair users."
    The objection is to simply to the use of bikes on this narrow section - it not relevant what type of bike the person is riding - especially as there is an alternate route, now used by responsible cyclists, thought the Leisure Centre grouns.

    Where are all the rest?

    If you've paid your membership you should be entitled to see them.
