You may well have read in the local paper that NHS Services in the area are being reviewed under a ”Better Services Better Value” banner.

Gill Hanson , as our representative, has arranged this special meeting to give members and their friends the opportunity to hear directly from a member of the BSBV team, Dr Simon Williams, a local GP. He will tell us the scope of the review and the options being considered.

Definite proposals are due to be announced for public consultation in May, regarding changes to the Community and Hospital Services of the SW London Region, which also covers the Surrey Downs area including Ashtead, Bookham, Dorking and Leatherhead. These changes will affect us.

Come and hear Dr Williams talk about the problems and the proposals that have been considered so far. There will be ample opportunity if you wish to ask questions or voice concerns.

Attendance will be governed by the capacity of the Abraham Dixon Hall, so entry will be by ticket only. Free tickets may be obtained from the LCA office in the Institute between 9.30 am and 12 noon on weekdays, or by dropping an SAE in the post box at the Institute for a ticket to be sent to you.
